Join Roy Keane for some bargain hunting at "Spring Clean for Charity"; which takes place this this Saturday, 24th September from 11am to 5pm in Cork City Hall in aid of St. Vincent de Paul, Cork, and disadvantaged youth in Ireland.

People from all over Cork and beyond, as well as well-known faces like Rachel Allen, Lorraine Keane, Bill Cullen and Celia Holman-Lee, have de-cluttered their homes and offices and donated items in support of Cork's biggest and best charity sale.  Cork's own, Roy Keane will be on hand to help bargain hunters rummage through the treasure trove of bric-a-brac, trinkets and fashion that have all been generously donated.

"Spring Clean for Charity" has something for every kind of shopper - from fabulous vintage clothing from designers like Jean Muir and Bill Blass, to never used sound systems; from nearly new furniture, to once worn Philip Treacy hats.  For those on the hunt for exclusive collectors' items, bidding in the charity auction for two jackets belonging to the late music legend, Rory Gallagher is a must; while budding chefs can bid for Clodagh McKenna's famous red apron!  On top of all that, Kearys Motor Group have kindly donated a car for the charity raffle on Saturday, so there's a chance to walk away with much more than you bargained for!

Norma Smurfit, the driving force behind "Spring Clean for Charity", is bringing the event to Cork for the first time ever and is very excited about it: "We were told if we brought "Spring Clean for Charity" to Cork it would be well received, but the response has been more amazing than we could have ever imagined! So many people have pledged their support, and we have some really great items up for grabs this Saturday.  St. Vincent de Paul, now more than ever, needs our support and "Spring Clean for Charity" is a fun way for friends, family and colleagues to raise funds that will go directly to help people in need in Cork."

Doors open at 11am for a fun day of bargain hunting and celebrity spotting; and entry to City Hall is just €5 at the door, while kids under 12 go free.  All proceeds from "Spring Clean for Charity" go to St. Vincent de Paul, Cork and disadvantaged youth in Ireland.
