Taste of Tralee at Manor West

Taste of Tralee at Manor West

02 April 2012

During the “taste” weekend a wide range of Kerry Food Producers will be showcasing their produce in the main shopping Mall giving the thousands of visitors to the Centre the opportunity to sample a wide range of Kerry produced product – all under one roof.

Centre Manager, Derek Rusk who is organising the event stated “We are so lucky to have so many talented artisan producers right on our doorstep and this is an opportunity for us in Manor to support these small Kerry businesses by allowing them the use of the centre to showcase these local resources and talent.  It will be an opportunity for the many visitors to the Centre to sample produce grown or produced locally, bring home some really special treats and a rare opportunity to meet the people behind the terrific products.”

The event is being run in association with Taste Kerry an organisation spearheaded by Kerry County Enterprise Board and supported by Collabor8 to promote and celebrate the rich food heritage of Kerry.  Mary Beary, Coordinator for Taste Kerry stated “Taste Kerry brings together the talented hands, creative minds and skills of the many artisan food producers in the county.  Small producers need all the support they can get and all of our members are delighted with this opportunity to meet their customers on a one to one basis and introduce their produce to many new customers in one of the busiest Shopping Centres in the Country.”

The event which will run from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April is just one of a number of events and activities planned to take place in Manor West Retail Park over the next few months.   For further information on Manor West visit www.manorwest.ie or follow Manor West on Facebook.  For further information on Taste Kerry visit www.tastekerry.com.
